Do you have any info on the descendents of Addison Gardiner Jerome? I just came into possession of my Gr-Gr-Grandmothers Bible and along with the usual birth/marriage/death data, she had an obit from (?) dated (?) of an Addison GOULD Jerome
who was supposed to have been the son of Addison Gardiner Jerome and who died at age 53 in NYC. The obit just says he was a snappy horseman and had been involved in the Gold Exchange of the late1800's. | Jerome, Addison Gardiner (I1964)

I had for many years been trying to find William Boram, s/o Andrew Boram and Sarah Harris who married in Hamilton Co. OH in 1812. While recently reviewing some papers sent by a descendant of Andrew & Sarah sometime ago, I again came upon a
note that I had forgotten about. A grandchild mentioned "uncle William Boram married "Betsey Cochran" and "great-uncle Thomas Cochran" married Rebecca Harris. | Cochran, Elizabeth M. (I86)

I have a copy of their marriage license and on the back of gives parents of the bride and groom, their birthplaces, and birthdays. It lists Harriet's mother's name as Martha McCannel. Harriet's obituary says that they moved to LaSalle Co.,
Illinois when she was a small girl and grew to womanhood. I have not been able to find them in the US Census in Illinois in 1880, but found them in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 in Luzerne Co, PA. After their marriage A. N. and Harriet moved to
South Dakota. Here they had 3 sons. One died at the age of 17 of an accident with a ball, my Grandfather who died in 1929 from Pneumonia leaving his wife with 11 children to raise by herself. The third son was a chemist for the Pet Milk
Laboratories in Greenville, Illinois. My father was the 4th child of the 11 and is still alive today at the age of 87. | Snover, Harriet L. (I11945)

In the Windemuth Family Heritage it states " Elizabeth Shackelton was a grand-daughter of Thomas and Nancy Robbins of England who were persons of considerable note. He was a man of letters and she was a lady in every sense of the word,
according to the standard of the time and place. Nancy Robbins wore the finest silks, purple and crimson corsets, and never on any occasion was known to engage in manual labor. When Elizabeth was married at age 18 she spread upon the grass
100 yards of fine white linen, the work of her own hands. Her mother-in-law then remarked to her, "Elizabeth, was it possible that you made all this linen yourself?"" | Shackelton, Elizabeth (I1818)

The area essentially has not changed in a hundren and fifty years. They have modern appointments, but the population density is very low, and the area is very rural and underdeveloped to say the least. It was enlightening to see how the towns
we have read about are related to each other and to understand the distances between them. | Wintermute, Henry Bernhardt (I2418)

The world was blessed on May 4, 1947 as Joyce Louise Dally entered this world as the second child of Richard and Florence Dally of Visalia, California. As a source of comfort, vitality and joy, Joyce lived her life serving others. She had a heart for helping hurting women, ministering through Prison Ministries and the Soroptimist organizations in Corcoran. She loved the Lord and wanted to share her joy with others, inspiring them to seek Him and letting Him lead their lives. Joyce was a generous and loving person. She helped family, friends and strangers in need without question. She could never turn anyone away who needed to be fed, clothed or housed. Because of this, Joyce's family extends beyond the borders of her biological family. Joyce touched so many lives with her servant heart, her legacy will live way beyond the memory of those who know her as lives were transformed by her love. Joyce is survived by her husband, James Mackey of Visalia, California; children Lou Ann Miller (Ken) of Medical Lake, Washington; James Johnson (Sallie) of Gold Hill, Oregon; Jerry Mackey and Jodi Anderson (Danny) of Visalia, California. She is preceded in death by her son James O. Mackey, and parents, Richard and Florence Dally, of Visalia, California. She is survived by her siblings, Beth Whittier (Jim) and George Dally of Visalia, California; Donna Halstead (Bob) of Manteca, California; Jean Alcorn (Russ) of Woodlake, California and Rick Dally (Cindy) of Porterville, California. She has been blessed with 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Joyce's life will be celebrated at Parkside Chapel in Visalia, California on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at noon. There will be a viewing at Parkside Chapel one hour before the service; a burial service to immediately follow. Joyce's family invites those in attendance to a reception following the burial service at Parkside Chapel. | DALLY, Joyce Louise (I6315)

There is no record in the Elgin County Land registry office of him owning any of lot 22 Concession 9 Bayham The crown patents were issued in 1844 for the North ½ of the lot and in 1849 for the South ½ (many early land transactions were never
registered and eventually a subsequent owner had to petition the Crown for a patent event tho he might have acquired the property many years previously.) | Wintemute, Abraham (I3854)
