18. | Daniel Walker THOMAS (6.Rebecca2, 1.Lydia1) was born on 20 Nov 1760; died on 06 Sep 1834. Notes:
Daniel Walker Thomas removed from Chester Co., Pennsylvania to Winchester, Viriginia sometime between 1790 and 1799 becoming a member of Hopewell Meeting of Friends. He was a lawyer and was appointed Commissioner of Revenue for the town of
Winchester in 1810, giving bond to Governor John Tyler, who afterwards became President. His descendants became a quite extensive Southern family, living in Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky etc.,and evidently did not long continue their conection
with Friends. As far as known, they were the only branch of this family which went South. Others who did not remain in Pennsylvania went to Ohio, Indianna and some to Iowa.
Daniel married Sarah ELLIS on 21 Oct 1784 in Exeter Monthly Meeting. Sarah was born on 14 Aug 1766; died on 28 Feb 1825 in Winchester, Fairfax County , Virginia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

38. | Abel Isaac THOMAS (14.Isaac3, 6.Rebecca2, 1.Lydia1) was born in 1796 in Coventry, Chester County; died on 5 Jun 1857 in Clayton, Indianna. Notes:
They removed about 1828 to Baltimore, Maryland then in 1852 to Springboro Monthly Meeting, Warren County Ohio. Later they removed to Ravensville, Ohio. When William Henry Harrison was elected President they removed to North Bend, Ohio and
had charge of the Harrison farm and built the Harrison tomb which forms the base of the present tower monument overlooking the Ohio River at North Bend.
Abel married Rebecca Hayes on 17 Mar 1825 in Fallowfield Monthly Meeting. Rebecca was born on 16 Dec 1799; died on 13 Jul 1850; was buried in Waynesville, Ohio. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
