His occupation is listed as "traveler". Rhoda died in 1897. In the 1900 census he is married to Isaphine Lewis (in 1884) and their son William C was born in 1885. Rhoda later married Ira Pearson. Rhoda and Ira are buried in Friends Cemetery, Amboy Indiana
