- The world was blessed on May 4, 1947 as Joyce Louise Dally entered this world as the second child of Richard and Florence Dally of Visalia, California. As a source of comfort, vitality and joy, Joyce lived her life serving others. She had a heart for helping hurting women, ministering through Prison Ministries and the Soroptimist organizations in Corcoran. She loved the Lord and wanted to share her joy with others, inspiring them to seek Him and letting Him lead their lives. Joyce was a generous and loving person. She helped family, friends and strangers in need without question. She could never turn anyone away who needed to be fed, clothed or housed. Because of this, Joyce's family extends beyond the borders of her biological family. Joyce touched so many lives with her servant heart, her legacy will live way beyond the memory of those who know her as lives were transformed by her love. Joyce is survived by her husband, James Mackey of Visalia, California; children Lou Ann Miller (Ken) of Medical Lake, Washington; James Johnson (Sallie) of Gold Hill, Oregon; Jerry Mackey and Jodi Anderson (Danny) of Visalia, California. She is preceded in death by her son James O. Mackey, and parents, Richard and Florence Dally, of Visalia, California. She is survived by her siblings, Beth Whittier (Jim) and George Dally of Visalia, California; Donna Halstead (Bob) of Manteca, California; Jean Alcorn (Russ) of Woodlake, California and Rick Dally (Cindy) of Porterville, California. She has been blessed with 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Joyce's life will be celebrated at Parkside Chapel in Visalia, California on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at noon. There will be a viewing at Parkside Chapel one hour before the service; a burial service to immediately follow. Joyce's family invites those in attendance to a reception following the burial service at Parkside Chapel.
