Edwin's history). Before his marriage he was engaged with his brother-in-law, Allen Rosenkrans, at Scranton, Pennsylvania. Later he was a street car conductor in Philadelphia and afterwards in same employment at Newark, New Jersey. After
Edwin's death he returned to the old farm at the Foundry. His mother and youngest sister, Ophelia, resided with him. In connection with his farming he still operated the foundry.
- Peter was a temperance Republican and he and wife were members of the Presbyterian Church. In the spring of 1898 there was a new postoffice established at the Foundry, named Wintermute, of which he was commissioned as first Postmaster.
- Fanny Aber was a great-great granddaughter of Elizabeth Wintermute, the Emigrator's daughter, and Peter, her husband, was a great grandson of George Wintermute, the eldest son of the Emigrator.
