    Generation: 1

    1. 1.  Elizabeth M. Cochran was born on 31 Aug 1821; died on 4 Aug 1894.

      Notes:

Previously we had William Boram listed as Elizabeth's father rather than as her first husband.

Then, this information came from Linda Booram

I had for many years been trying to find William Boram, s/o Andrew Boram and Sarah Harris who married in Hamilton Co. OH in 1812. While recently reviewing some papers sent by a descendant of Andrew & Sarah sometime ago, I again came upon a
note that I had forgotten about. A grandchild mentioned "uncle William Boram married "Betsey Cochran" and "great-uncle Thomas Cochran" married Rebecca Harris.

Rebecca Harris would have been sister to Sarah and I am theorizing that Betsey Cochran was their daughter who married her 1st cousin. Rebecca & Sarah were the daughters of Amos Harris & Elizabeth Ball. Andrew Boram/Booram was son of Aaron
Booram whose 1st wife appears to have been a Rebecca Harris and possible sister

to Amos Harris and it appears likely that Thomas Cochran was son of John & Rosannah Cochran who was a neighor of both amos Harris & Aaron Booram in Hamilton Co. OH

I have found that William Boram & Elizabeth Cochran married in Moontgomery Co OH in 1839.

I found George Wintermote and his 1st wife Eve in Randolph Co IN in 1850 and in the same vicinity Thomas & Rebecca Cochran as well as an Amos Cochran. I am

therefore beginning to believe that the Elizabeth Cochran Boram you have is the one I have been looking for and the William is not her father, but her 1st husband!

I also noticed that George & Eva's son John Wintermote married a Laura Amanda Boram. Could this possibly be William & Betsey's child?

In anycase, I have a few more connections and one of my "brickwalls" may be tumbling! Any information you can add would be most appreciated.

      Thanks,

      Linda Boorom (lbnk@worldnet.att.net)
