    1. 1.  Fanny Aber was born on 1 Nov 1862 (daughter of John Aber and Catharine Haines).

      Notes:

      She was born November 1, 1862, and before marriage was a school teacher. They were the parents of two children, Harry Aber and Catharine Elizabeth. Peter, in partnership with his brother Edwin, bought the old homestead farm (as noted in
      Edwin's history). Before his marriage he was engaged with his brother-in-law, Allen Rosenkrans, at Scranton, Pennsylvania. Later he was a street car conductor in Philadelphia and afterwards in same employment at Newark, New Jersey. After
      Edwin's death he returned to the old farm at the Foundry. His mother and youngest sister, Ophelia, resided with him. In connection with his farming he still operated the foundry.



      Peter was a temperance Republican and he and wife were members of the Presbyterian Church. In the spring of 1898 there was a new postoffice established at the Foundry, named Wintermute, of which he was commissioned as first Postmaster.



      Fanny Aber was a great-great granddaughter of Elizabeth Wintermute, the Emigrator's daughter, and Peter, her husband, was a great grandson of George Wintermute, the eldest son of the Emigrator.

      Fanny married Peter Arason Wintermute in Dec 1884 in Near Branchville. Peter (son of Jeptha Arason Wintermute and Elizabeth Groover) was born on 12 Jun 1850 in Sussex County, New Jersey. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
