Dennis DeWire Murray was adopted by Lewis Murray and his wife and his name changed to Murray by the court in Litchfield, Connecticut. He was one of a large family born to Mr. DeWire and his wife Honora Burns and was left an orphan at an early
age. After his marriage, he moved to Texas and lived in Austin and other places in that state.
