- Jan Reuther names this Mary Read as the daughter of Mary Shackleton and Isaac Read. However, we previously had Mary Shackleton, daughter of Benjamin, listed as the wife of John Rhodes.
- 1) Benjamin Shackelton had two daughters named Mary or
- 2) Mary was married twice, once to Isaac Read and once to John Rhodes, or
- 3) There were two Benjamin Shackletons with a daughter named Mary. One Mary married to Isaac Read, and the other mary married to John Rhodes.
