  Notes	George N. Dennis was born in Canada, immigrated to the USA in 1898, and was naturalizes as a US citizen on June 27, 1934 in Genesee County, Michigan. From the 1920 census, George declared his father and mother were born in Canada of Dutch decent. George in the 1920 census declared his trade to be carpenter and was employed by the Ice Co. They lived at 2022 Church Street, Flint. Francis suffered with Tuberculosis and was interned at a sanitarium near Howell, Michigan. On weekends, George would ride his bicycle from home (near Linden and Miller Road) to visit Francis (a distance of about 35 miles each way on gravel roads.) While Francis was at Howell, their two daughters stayed with neighbors and Wilfred remained at home with his dad. George is buried in Section O, lot E1/2 34, graves 3 and 4, of Sunset Hills Cemetary, near Flint Michigan. In 1957, at the time of George's death, his brother William lived in Newbury, Ontario. A family Bible indicates George was born in 1883.
