Sylvanus came to Canada with his family around 1802 and bought land next to his brother Daniel in Beasley's Broken Front along the Grand River near Preston (now part of Cambridge). He remained there the rest of his life, and two sons stayed
there. The rest of his family, led by oldest son John A., went to the area of Sheffield in Beverly Twp. Enoch and Aaron were both members of John's church at Sheffield. Enoch and Mary are buried in the church cemetery. Brother Aaron and his
family joined the movement westward to Lambton Co., but they stopped in Middlesex Co., west of London. They are buried in Lambeth where a son of my Gabriel Cornell lies. Did these possible cousins attract Aaron to stop there? Unknown. | Sipes, Jacob (I15114)
